Andreas Akesson
In 1995 Andreas started to work as a business developer in a Spanish ISP company, selling internet solutions. In ‘96 he joined Olé, the biggest Spanish search engine company. The product that he managed was Olé 1-2-3 (which today would be an equivalent to Google Adwords). In 1997 Andreas started to work as Olé’s business developer/adsales manager. In ‘98 Olé was sold to Telefónica for 400 million euros (becoming a part of Terra).
In 2000 he founded his own online marketing agency, Active Internet Consulting. Active Internet Consulting has during its almost 10 years of existence worked with companies such as Autoscout24, Friendscout24, Cofidis, Planeta, Liberty Insurance, Extrafilm, Godo, and Unidad Editorial. Andreas also started a VC company focusing on new technologies (VC More, 2000-2001), an IT firm (Glaukopis, 2002-2004) and an ecommerce solution company applying artificial intelligence (Aibits, 2004-2006).
